How to fix the muhuratham and why amavsaya is a negative day-

This happened when I called the lady, whose husband had come to me for Vaastu consultation. This lady apparently had her delivery and was planning to get back to her in-law's. The day I called her, her father informed me that she had left that very day to her in-law's. I was shocked, as that day was Amavasya.

When I told him about this fact, he did not have an answer. It was also tithi soonya. One tithi changing in to another.

I am surprised that many people considered Amavasaya as a good day. They say it is a full day. This is not true. When the moon does not exist how can it be a good day? One of the most important planets in astrology is the moon. It is with this, that the Dasa and Bhukthi are fixed. How can anyone fix a day when the moon is in the lowest ebb?

Secondly no muhurtaha  books ever authorize Amavasaya as a good day.

This is the reason why Shradda or monthly rituals for ancestors are performed on Amavasya. It is also said black magic and all evil acts can be used as Amavsaya tithi.

Here is a request to all astrologers, not to fix Amavasya as an auspicious day.
