'Saturn Transit & Saadhe Saati'

Saturn takes 2.5 years to transit through a Sign. Saturn is the planet of justice. It guides you to work diligently and tirelessly, to be honest and fair and to make sure that you make the best effort in the righteous manner. On this Lord Shiva said, "I have assigned Saturn a duty to work with an unbiased approach towards Humans, Animals, Gandharvas as well as Gods & Goddesses. So he penalizes the wrongs without caring who is being penalized."

What is Sadhe Sati ?
When Saturn transits through the twelfth, first and second house from your natal moon it is known as Sadhe Sati. The name comes from the 7.5 years span it takes while transiting through the three houses. First phase of Sadhe Sati begins when Saturn transits through the 12th house from the natal moon. During this phase Saturn afflicts the head and increases mental tensions. Second phase of Sadhe Sati begins when Saturn transits through the 1st house from the natal moon. Third phase of Sadhe Sati begins when Saturn transits through the 12th house from the natal moon.

What is Dhaiyya & Ashtam Shani ?
When Saturn transits through the 4th house from the natal moon, it is the beginning of Laghu Kalyani Dhaiyya and when it transits through the 8th house from the natal moon it is Ashtam Shani.

Why are people afraid of Sadhe Sati & Saturn Transit ?
Saturn takes 2.5 years to transit through a sign. This way it takes 30 years to transit all twelve signs. In a given span of 30 years every individual is under a direct effect of Saturn for 12.5 years (7.5 years of Sadhe sati + 2.5 years of Dhaiyya + 2.5 years of Ashtam Shani). This way if one has a weak Saturn in the horoscope 12.5 years out of 30 years are not going to be very positive. This way a person is not able to gain that much success as much efforts he/she makes.
